Kim Jong Un may be plotting Election Day nuclear fireworks
Trump has said he would press China to rein in its protégé, and he told Reuters in May he “would have no problem” speaking to North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump pledged his commitment to defending South Korea under an existing security alliance during a phone call with South Korean President Park Geun-hye on Thursday, her office said.
North Korea, which has conducted five nuclear tests, may already have the capability to miniaturize a warhead to be used on a short-range missile.
Trump added that Washington will work together with Seoul “until the end” for the security of the United States and South Korea, according to the official. “The next USA administration is expected to maintain a policy of pressure and sanctions against North Korea”.
A study published last month by a USA -based North Korea research project said North Korean missile and nuclear tests and other major “provocations” had clustered increasingly closer to US elections.
The US, which has about 28,500 troops in South Korea, is planning to deploy its Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in the Southeast Asian country to protect it against potential North Korean missile attacks.
He also said he has many good friends in Korea.
“At least 14 USA citizens have been detained in North Korea in the past ten years”, the department said.
North Korea’s nuclear program, developed despite harsh global sanctions, and ballistic missile testshave raised the alarm around the world.
As a candidate, Trump had also repeatedly upbraided Japan for not paying what he called “its fair share” to support American military bases and again warned he may withdraw troops unless Japan agreed to increase spending.
Consider it a North Korean welcoming for the next United States president. “We haven’t evacuated USA civilians from the peninsula since 2009”.
“Obama’s group… has to leave the White House feeling humiliation as a loser and carrying empty bags”, Rodong Sinmun said.

President-elect Trump, who has expressed admiration for some authoritarian leaders, such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin, has not yet addressed worldwide efforts to hold North Korean leaders accountable for widespread and systematic human rights abuses. “We are going to be with you 100%”.
