The once-proclaimed “best father ever” met Jackson through a phone dating service and said any domestic violence accusations against him were “all lies”.

Killed in last Saturday’s shooting were 40-year-old Valerie Jackson; her husband, Dwayne Jackson; and her children, 13-year-old Nathaniel, 11-year-old Honesty, 10-year-old Dwayne, 9-year-old Caleb, 7-year-old Trinity and 6-year-old Jonah.
According to Sgt Clopton, Valerie Jackson and Conley had a relationship, which ended, and “then (Dewayne Jackson) began a relationship with Valerie, which led to five children”.
David Conley has been charged with capital murder.
Conley, 48, who has a savage criminal history, showed up Monday.

“I’m just astonished that the officers didn’t investigate further”, he said.
Another child, Nathaniel, told investigators “he gets whooped all the time”.
Mr Conley stood shackled and handcuffed in front of State District Judge Vanessa Valesquez without a lawyer at his court appearance. All were shot in the head.
The agency conducted periodic visits and interviews with the children until the case was closed on May 27, 2014, he said.

Jackson was granted the restraining order in La Crosse County against Conley in October 2008, but asked that it be dismissed in January 2012 while she was living in Houston, telling the court she wanted to reconcile. Hours later, Conley gave himself up, allowing deputies to enter the home and make the gruesome discovery of the bodies.
“I promised my lawyer I wouldn’t go into specific details”, Conley said.
At another point of the interview, he said: “All ladies, any little thing I do, they want to call the police on me”.

Conley said he recently agreed to move out of the house he shared with Jackson and the kids but realised he had nowhere else to live. “There was totally no emotion in his voice”, the brother, Earl Yanske, said.
