“Losing is not an option for me”, Slice said at Bellator 149’s post-fight press conference.

If you lost track of ol’ Kimbo, here’s an update: He’s fighting professionally these days on the Bellator mixed martial arts circuit.

As of Friday morning at CG Technology, more money had been bet on the Slice-Harris fight than any other event on the card, except for two National Basketball Association games – the Miami Heat at Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls. I was honestly hoping “Big John” would make the save for the viewing audience and stop the fight.

Slice eventually won by knockout, but it was the least sensational knockout you’ll see. Dada 5000 left the cage on a stretcher.

“Not any more”, he told MMAMania, before elaborating on surviving and finding a way to get the victory.

“Losing is not an option for me”, Ferguson said. “You know as well as I know my friend, this s- is not getting out of the first round”. I don’t think he even had a job at the time, so we hooked him up, gave him a little work.

CG Technology reposted the odds on the fight Thursday night and continued to take action on Harris.

“I’m disappointed. I came here to fight”. I’m not going to ever give up.

“Man, I’ve seen a lot of submissions I wanted to go for, Mikey”, he paused to call out his head coach from American Top Team, Mike Brown. “But Mikey (Mike Brown), he said, ‘Kimbo, let’s just stick to an old-fashioned KO….” I’ll show my nuts right now. It was mentioned during the broadcast that Royce Gracie hadn’t tapped his fists for bout, which indicated that he didn’t plan on throwing any punches so he opted for a series of kicks when the fight started. “Mike’s like, ‘nope, don’t do it'”. “I underestimated the weight”. He was a pretty strong dude. “It only takes one punch”. The history of the Gracie dynasty is well documented and despite being 49, Royce didn’t really fight past his prime, deciding instead to focus on teaching at the Gracie schools.

Kimbo Slice right is best known from his street-fighting videos on YouTube. He is on the Bellator 149 card Friday night at Toyota Center
