Kings Of Leon are about to announce their seventh studio album

Those waiting for a new Kings Of Leon album can breathe a sigh of relief.

Since releasing 2013’s above average but not gripping Mechanical Bull, the band have completed a world tour but have since remained in relative silence about their future plans.

The video, uploaded to Twitter, runs through the band’s six albums to date before stating: “7 is coming”.

Slightly theatrical, but no less exhilarating.

The “Use Somebody” group’s drummer Nathan had said past year the band were working on getting the record completed before the end of 2016 and they look set to meet that target. It appears as if the new album will be called Walls.

That’s the main takeaway from Kings Of Leon’s mysterious teaser vids that they just casually dropped onto their socials recently. The band told the Associated Press last December that they would be returning to L.A.to record their next album, which could indicate an attempt to revert to their signature sound. Caleb added “We enjoy this part of the process”. With “Waste a Moment”, the first single from the new album slated for release in September it won’t be long until the fevered fanbase gets a taste of things to come.
