Kings owner won’t allow Cousins trade | Sports – WESH Home
How do you think the DeMarcus Cousins trade will pan out? Not easily.

LA Lakers trade rumors seem to indicate the team has interest in every player that is either being shopped by his team or is ready to head into free agency.
With the sixth pick, the Kings are unlikely to get a quality guard in the draft if that is what they are planning to do.
Yet a month later, Divac – the former Kings and Lakers player who was hired in early March to head the basketball operations department – said in an interview with Sirius XM Radio that Karl “might have overstepped his bounds” and even called Cousins “untrade-able.” In that regard, nothing has changed.
The Lakers’ NBA Draft pick will also be crucial for the team who has been struggling for the past two seasons.
The 2015 NBA Draft arrives on Thursday, June 26 from Brooklyn, New York.
According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, Karl is interested in acquiring his ex- point guard Ty Lawson, as well as his ex- power forward Kenneth Faried. The Magic have their own up-and-coming center in Nikola Vucevic. Could the Magic keep the fifth pick in this deal?
Regarding the No. 16 pick, the likely scenario is the Celtics move up and try to grab Cauley-Stein, the rip protector this team sorely needs.
There are two important things to remember before proceeding any farther.
It’s always interesting when these rumors are coming from Woj. The only difference is this happened to find its way to the media somehow. Whitlock speculated that Karl wants to try and create a winning culture and that Cousins may not be the best fit for that.
It doesn’t seem Cousins himself is on board with that decision, though.
I’ll admit, the likelihood of Cousins leaving Sactown is slim.
However, it appears as though it could get a lot more expensive for the Lakers if they choose to make the deal, as they would also have to part company with some of their most prized assets.
Just as importantly from a league-wide perspective, Wojnarowski reports that the Kings – who have to this point vehemently denied any intention of moving Cousins – have begun peering down other trade avenues, too. Sports Marc Spears (a ex- Nuggets beat reporter for the Denver Post) tweeting that the Nuggets have made Danilo Gallinari available in trades, according to a single source.
