The Spurs have traded a future second-round pick to Sacramento for third-year guard Ray McCallum, a league source confirmed. Ray McCallum was the latest pickup for the Spurs, and could end up being one of the most underrated moves of the whole season.
McCallum, 6-3/190, started 30 of his 68 appearances with the Kings in 2014-15, averaging 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 21.1 minutes while shooting.

These San Antonio Spurs trade rumors show that the team is still trying to add depth and that it isn’t too afraid of going deeper into the luxury tax penalty. Plus, he makes less than $1 million.
Needless to say, the Spurs needed to fill those minutes and the acquisition of McCallum does that in spades. The Clippers also found a way to hold on to DeAndre Jordan in free agency, keeping him alongside Blake Griffin and Chris Paul for the next few years.

The Spurs renounced the rights to Joseph to clear cap space for prized free agent LaMarcus Aldridge, who announced on July 4th that he is leaving Portland to play in San Antonio. McCallum is 6 ” 3 and weighs 190-pounds, just like Joseph.
