Kirti Azad Says Will Reveal More On ‘Corruption’ In Delhi Cricket Body
Singh made the comments during a highly charged press conference, where the AAP attacked Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for alleged financial bunglings in DDCA.

On his part, Jaitley dismissed the allegations as “vague” and said he can not answer them unless they are specific.
Jaitley, however, rubbished the allegation and said the raid had nothing to do with anything other than the corruption allegedly indulged in by the bureaucrat. “Finding himself acting as shield to cover an officer under investigation, the chief minister attempted to focus attention on me”.
Finance MinisterArun Jaitley slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party for levelling charges of financial irregularities pertaining to his earlier role as president of Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA).
Deputy Chief Minister and Kejriwal confidant Manish Sisodia demanded to know why the CBI seized the records of file movements of November-December this year if the agency was probing Rajendra Kumar’s doings from 2007 to 2014.
For the second successive day, the entire top brass of the DDCA addressed the press conference where they made a point by point rebuttal of the alleged charges made by the AAP against Jaitley.
Jaitley said there can be no greater threat to federalism if state governments start investigating decisions of Union Cabinet and cited Delhi government’s act of registering an FIR against two Union Cabinet Ministers of the UPA government for voluntarily implementing a decision of the Cabinet, even without any police or investigative powers.
The Times of India can’t independently confirm the allegations of corruption levelled by the Aam Aadmi Party towards finance minister Arun Jaitley and the DDCA. The principle opposition party on Monday had avoided discussing the GST bill with Naidu and finance minister Arun Jaitley on the excuse of unavailability of Congress Lok Sabha leader Mallikarjun Kharge.
He said the two CMs “need to redeem themselves by publicly distancing themselves from Mr Kejriwal’s vocabulary”.
He reiterated that the Delhi government has no locus standi to investigate the DDCA issue. “This has to be the first ever privately funded stadium which is used by public”, he added.
“The DDCA was a den of corruption under Jaitley”, said Chadha.
Citing instances of such “frauds”, he alleged an additional expenditure of Rs 90 crore was incurred in renovation of the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium against sanctioned budget of Rs 24 crore and that fake companies were set up by DDCA office bearers to siphon off money through round-tripping. “When work expands, cost escalations are integral”. She underlined that a Congress government had given a clean chit to Jaitley.

Describing the era of resources for the restoration of Delhi arena, Jaitley said he’d mopped up Rs-35 by promoting numerous areas within the stadium including containers to corporate homes crore.
