Klay Thompson’s dad: Mozgov pick was dirty
Klay Thompson, he of the hilarious joke about the Golden State Warriors being better than his father’s “Showtime” Los Angeles Lakers, wasn’t all that amusing after his team lost Game 3 on Wednesday night.

Asked about the screen after the game, Thompson called out Mozgov for what he perceived to be a “dirty” play.
“I re-watched it. I’m just confused why he’s trying to set a screen in the middle of the key when we’re both running full speed downhill”, Thompson said. Thompson landed with a thud, clutching his left thigh, which slammed into Mozgov’s knee on the play. I don’t know. I’m guarding Kyrie, running full speed downhill.
“I didn’t get it”, Thompson said, shaking his head.
Klay Thompson vented just enough Wednesday night that his anger had softened by Thursday afternoon.
“You don’t stick your leg out there unless you want to hurt somebody, so I definitely agree with him”, Mychal Thompson said in an interview with Sports Illustrated’s website.
On the play in question, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 7-foot-1, 275-pound center set a screen for guard Kyrie Irving. Obviously it didn’t feel good, but I’ll be all right. And I don’t understand why he didn’t get an intentional foul on that too. Mozgov’s leg is almost straight when Thompson hits him, so he didn’t stick his knee out, either.
The Cavaliers have done an excellent job of limiting Thompson and Stephen Curry, who scored 19 points in the 120-90 loss.
Thompson is right – that is a weird time to set a screen, and it is a little risky. You go back and look at that play, to me, that was terrible. “It seemed kind of dirty to me”, he revealed.
“You play with Draymond Green”.

The Warriors expect Thompson to be available for Game 4 on Friday and the player said: “It’s one of those injuries where it doesn’t really hold you back”.
