Klay upset with Mozgov’s ‘dirty’ screen
After the Golden State Warriors blew the Cleveland Cavaliers out of the water in the first two games, the Cavaliers came out charged up in the first quarter of Game 3, racing out to a 33-16 lead.

Thompson left the game during the first quarter after colliding with the Cavs’ Timofey Mozgov and said afterward that he felt the contact was “kinda dirty”. “I’m guarding Kyrie, running full speed downhill”, he explained. Mozgov’s knee appeared to go into Thompson’s thigh, injuring him.
“But, usually, when someone sets a screen, you usually do it with your chest or something”.
“It seemed kind of dirty to me”, he said.
“He’s trying to get some life, figure out a way to maybe get me going”.
“Obviously didn’t feel good but I’ll be all right”, Thompson said. “To stick his knee out too, but you know what, that’s basketball”.
After the a brutal 120-90 Game 3 loss, Thompson was not very pleased with the second quarter play. The Warriors will need a better effort from him and Steph Curry if they want to stay in control of this series. So maximizing their plays may compensate for Thompson’s contribution. “It’s not, ‘I’m a little banged up so I’m not going to practice today.’ He comes out in practice and he goes all out”. As long as no one gets hurt, it just makes the NBA Finals more dramatic.
As he said, he has a day to rest before Game 4 on Friday.
