Fury (25-0, 18 KO) defeated Klitschko by unanimous decision last Saturday in Germany, claiming the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles in the process.

Fury, 27, ended Wladimir Klitschko’s nine-year reign as heavyweight champion when he outscored the 39-year-old Ukranian on November 28th, a victory that has seen Klitschko activate a contract clause for the pair to fight again.

Well done him, says me between mouthfuls of humble pie, and I just hope that the intelligence which Fury used to out-fox the former holder will serve him as successfully in future bouts. Please note that comments are automatically checked for inappropriate language and will be removed accordingly.

The message further reads: “I was really frustrated directly after the fight but after some short nights I now know that I want to show that I am much better than my performance on Saturday”.

“I’m quite confident the fight can be a mega fight here in the United Kingdom and I’m hopeful the fight can end up here”.

Indeed, had Fury elected to face WBC champion Deontay Wilder next, the IBF would be more likely to allow him to do so as their rules state a unification fight takes precedent over mandatory challenges.

“I went home dehydrated before I even touched anything, I was so frightened of being drug-tested and failing the drugs test”, he said, recounting the events leading to the bout over the weekend.

“It’s been four days now and I need some time to understand what happened and to decide my next steps”, he said on Instagram.

Fury added: “Tyson had a lot more to give as well”.

“I think it’s totally unfair and unprofessional from the IBF, because Tyson was crowned champion only on Saturday”. He said, “I got a great reception from the German fans”.
