Klopp adamant that there is no number one goalkeeper at Liverpool
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is not willing to make a choice on his first-choice goalkeeper, with Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet the options.

“Yes, if nothing happens, Loris will play”, Klopp said.
With no European campaign, Klopp looks set to name a strong side for the clash, with Divock Origi indicating he could lead the line having been used mainly as a substitute this season. “Germany is a goalkeeper country so we have no issues with goalkeepers”, he said.
But we at FootballFanCast aren’t quite so convinced; continuity is key in the goalkeeping department and although Mignolet’s started the season well, Liverpool have been crying out for an upgrade on the 28-year-old for the last three summers.
“I would say at the moment that the best goalkeeper in the world plays at Bayern Munich, he’s German”.
“We [Germany] always had good ones [goalkeepers], that’s kind of the mentality, we like this job, obviously kids like it”.
Karius, who joined Liverpool in May from Bundesliga side Mainz for £4.7 million, will make his comeback from a broken hand sustained during preseason in Tuesday’s EFL Cup third-round tie at the iPro Stadium.
‘In the moment when we signed him you can imagine we thought he is not so bad. The pressure on the players is big enough.
“I really don’t want to make a big battle of these two goalkeepers, why should I? The business is done for this position hopefully and now they have to perform”. Goalkeepers need to feel secure.
“You will always feel a bit guilty, more or less, but you want a manager who will say you can still stay and feel confident”.
“Where is my possibility to answer?” “If I say ‘yes, ‘ what would this mean for Loris?” If I say “No” what will it mean for Simon? This question makes sense, but the answer would not.
“But it’s not because we paid money for Loris and didn’t pay money a year ago for Simon that makes the decision”.

But after getting the nod tonight, Klopp has refused to confirm whether Mignolet will return for Saturday’s Premier League match against Hull at Anfield. “It’s about improvement, how much can you, the player, help the team?”
