Klopp: Chelsea Will Be Another “Real Challenge” For Liverpool

Adam Lallana produced a crowning performance in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Leicester City, including scoring the 100th goal of Jurgen Klopp’s reign.

“I have to say, because I don’t know how else I can say this, please don’t sing my name before the game is decided!”

One has to wonder how much longer Jurgen Klopp can carry on with Liverpool’s defense and goalkeeping. We were waiting for this type of football, very aggressive. “He wasn’t really ready for 90 minutes, the plan was he would be on the bench but after training we knew he would have to play”.

“I’m responsible for the bad performances; they’re responsible for the good performances”. “Until now we had to find just the players with a not high target, but a big future”.

“Jeff [Schlupp] has started with us, the normal warm-up, and then he does something different”, Ranieri said.

“I’m happy for that”, continued Mane, who also hailed the atmosphere inside Anfield as the club’s new Main Stand was officially unveiled to take the attendance to over 54,000.

“I’m really on the side of the players, I really am”, said Klopp.

The white nets will remain in place at Anfield for the rest of the 2016-17 season – and hopefully the four goals scored against the current Premier League champions on Saturday is a sign of things to come.

“We have to clear our minds for the next match”. We have a good team spirit here and it helps in moments like this, where you have been beaten. Schmeichel’s chest twice denied Sturridge either side of half-time – once when the goalkeeper was 15 yards outside his area – but he was powerless to prevent Lallana’s thunderbolt 12 minutes into the second half. “When we have lost in the past, we have always had a good reaction”.

“Liverpool played better than us and they deserved to win”. The Brazilian made a mistake that put Leicester right back into the match in the 38th minute, with a gift goal presented on a silver platter for Jamie Vardy. Everything they tried to do was okay and they were inspired.
