Klopp cool on Coutinho injury
City conceded three goals in the opening 32 minutes and lost 4-1 at home to Liverpool and Arsenal lost 2-1 at West Bromwich Albion, with Santi Cazorla missing a late penalty to tie the game.

Liverpool produced a stunning performance as they beat title favourites Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City’s loss means that, as it stands, there’s a very unlikely side at the top of the table as Leicester’s win (and Jamie Vardy’s 10th goal in a row) leaves Ranieri’s side as league leaders.
“It’s very satisfying”, said Klopp after the match.
“They were brilliant goals”, Klopp added, evidently purring at how intricate interplay led to collector’s items from his brilliant Brazilians Coutinho and Firmino.
“We know that is where we need to do better and we are more than capable of that”.
When the Klopp plan pays off against an opponent who plays into his hands – as City did in so supine a fashion – then possession for its own sake is abandoned in favour of playing fast breaks on the counter.
However, the club’s reigning player of the year Coutinho was replaced by Jordon Ibe in the second half at City after he appeared to suffer a hamstring injury.
“We tried to make another system and press high but it was exactly the same, it was not our night”.
However, it seems that simple bragging rights were not enough for a few fans, who took to Wikipedia to inflict more humiliation on their Manchester City counterparts, as they edited the description of the Etihad stadium.
“[Coutinho and Firmino] did well, but everyone could see Roberto could have used one chance more maybe – they were big chances”.
“The boys can believe now that they are stronger than many people think”, he said.
Without a stable defensive core, City were easily overwhelmed by Klopp’s attacking lineup, with the Chilean describing his evening “a complete disaster” when questioned by reporters after the final whistle.
Arriving on Merseyside on a wave of Anfield euphoria, Klopp looked to immediately temper expectations of an instant revival-this was, after all, the same squad that saw Rodgers flounder in the first months of 2015/16.
“There’s a long way we have to go, it’s not easy because we have no time really, and when we have time all the players are around the world”.

“I hope [he] is well enough”, the German coach said.
