Klopp issues Sakho statement – says French global broke club rules

At the time, it seemed as if this was a moment of fun between manager and player, but it is clear that Klopp did not see the amusing side of what was the latest indiscretion from a player who failed a drugs test back in April.

“So I don’t think it makes sense that you give one person the whole power, that’s why we have democracy and no other kind of political leadership”.

The France global was sent packing by the German in a no-nonsense approach, even though Sakho is now nursing an Achilles problem which will prevent him starting the new Premier League campaign.

“I saw a lot of positive things about the defensive situation but we must improve when we have the ball because I love to play the ball, but we are improving”. We have some rules and you have to respect them.

Klopp said: “It’s not the most important game in the world, but we have to learn and use all we have in terms of knowledge, rhythm, fitness and put it in a game because if you wait for the flawless day [for a match], you’ll wait until you’re old and grey!”

“He missed the departure of the plane, he missed a session and then was late for a meal”, Klopp told British media ahead Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in the International Champions Cup clash on their pre-season tour of North America on Wednesday evening.

“We had no argument”.

“Always it is the same with every group”. Sometimes it’s amusing, when the fine is bulls***.

With the new Premier League season kicking off on August 13, a week after Spurs play their last match in Oslo, the lucrative benefits of a pre-season tour balanced with the potential for jet lag and fatigue make these trips somewhat of a double-edged sword.

Jurgen Klopp’s side could not find a way past Asmir Begovic despite Fabregas being sent off for a crunching tackle on Ragnar Klavan in the 70th minute at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Cahill was also booked, as was Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno, Ovie Ejaria, Marko Grujic, Dejan Lovren and Kevin Stewart.

Liverpool have made a number of signings during the current transfer window, including the likes of Joel Matip, Sadio Mane, Loris Karius and most recently Georginio Wijnaldum.
