Klopp keen for Liverpool momentum

Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool are well-positioned to yield future success from their current foundations.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hopes his team can build momentum heading into the Europa League final against Sevilla.

Liverpool are on a 12-game unbeaten run in all competitions at home ahead of welcoming the deposed Premier League champions this week and Klopp admits improving the Reds’ record at Anfield was a priority when he took over in October.

And while Klopp insists that he has no idea whether his side will be able to mount a sustained assault on next year’s title, he claims Liverpool are showing tangible signs of progress in the formative months of his tenure. We are getting 2.00 which is ok so I guess if you want to wager on this game it is a plausible option.

“About Sturridge I am pretty sure (he will be fit)… he is in good shape”.

A league trip to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday precedes next Wednesday’s meeting with Spanish side Sevilla in Switzerland, a win in which would see the Reds qualify for a Champions League place next season. That being said, this is not the best game to bet on since neither team really cares so it could go either way.

“To use the home advantage is big for winning football games”. That is their way but our way is to be focused on Chelsea and West Brom and to try and get sixth before the final.

Chelsea certainly have a hard task tonight, with the hosts having not lost any of their last 11 games at Anfield in all competitions.

“It’s a short time before the Europa League final but 100% he will be fit for the Euros in France”.

“I can’t say there have been any changes on that (a new contract)”.

“We had a hard start to the season but the change of manager changed everything”, Lucas said at Liverpool’s end-of-season gala dinner.

“He can start now because he’s felt good the whole time, but we couldn’t do anything because it was an injury”. They’ll tell their families, they’ll be on the pitch and see their heroes and have the chance to look around and see 45,000 people.
