Klopp: Liverpool win over Leicester has to set the standard
Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp has implored fans to stop singing his name during matches to help his side stay focused and avoid complacency.

Roberto Firmino began and ended the scoring, with goals from Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana in between, while Lucas Leiva’s mistake briefly gave the Foxes hope when Jamie Vardy made it 2-1 just before half-time.
“We were strong physically, flexible, quick, creative. But I am still young and learning, and just need to give my best for the team”, he said in typically modest fashion.
“But I don’t like too much after a game where everybody could see that we were good that we celebrate it like something really special happened”.
“We were OK for the first 10 minutes until they scored a goal but after that we lost everything”.
“This is our challenge, not only today, for the whole season”.
Klopp noted Dejan Lovren’s black eye, which meant he had to make way for Lucas at centre-back, saying that while the Brazilian is “a wonderful character” it was “the most hard game” for him to come into, “especially when you don’t play 500 games in a row”.
The Leicester manager insisted his players would snap out of their despondency at losing 4-1 at Anfield quickly due to the lure of facing Club Brugge on Wednesday.
A sight long overdue for Liverpool fans: their beloved club playing at their beloved Anfield.
The Jurgen Klopp version of Liverpool is created to give fans heart attacks.
“I will be happy if they are afraid of me, because it will make it easier for me”, he says, a slight smile on his face signalling his appetite to invoke such fear.
“Immediately when the Kop started signing “Jurgen Klopp la la la” they were clear on Simon Mignolet”. It’s something that depends on each other, it’s nice but not necessary.
“I told people a few weeks ago, ‘Please do not (sing my name) so for two or three days it will be a story”.
“I want to show it in every game”.
Sturridge started the game for Liverpool and played for 76 minutes.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri conceded his team were second best.
“We got the two goals in the first half, but let them back in with some sloppy play from ourselves”.
“We wanted to do something but Liverpool won the first ball, the second ball, they were inspired tonight”.
