Klopp names Benitez as ‘one of the best in the world’

Mane joined Liverpool from Southampton in a £34m deal in 2016.

Klopp believes the team’s tactics were often channelled through Coutinho but other attacking players are now stepping up in his absence.

He added: “We know who is coming – a Liverpool legend is coming, Rafael Benitez one of the best managers in the world”.

Salah is among the star turns to be generating transfer talk at present, amid strong links to Real Madrid, and Klopp is aware that sporting and financial factors have to be considered by the Reds as they seek to keep prized assets on Merseyside.

“That is what we did to Phil”. I am happy it has worked quite well.

“I’d been in a bit of a bad run and I needed to get back to scoring goals and helping the team and hopefully I can continue that through to the end of the season now”. There has been some rotation at both full-back positions too, although Andrew Robertson’s form over the last few months has been such that he appears to have locked down one of those spots, meaning it’s now only the right side that looks up for grabs.

Aside from his goals, Salah is also excellent with his link-up play with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, and it has become hard to predict when he will fail to score.

“The players are smart enough to use good players in the team”. You can give 100% and lose the match. That’s a good idea, to be honest. I like the value in the over 3.5 goals bet. That’s how it is.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: “We built a new stand, we’re building a new training ground and we’ve brought in fantastic players”. We work for each other. Yes, it’s always good.

“We can not talk after a game and exchange excuses and say, “we had a problem here or there”. It didn’t change attitude, it’s football.

Rafa Benitez is sweating on the fitness of Jonjo Shelvey for tomorrow’s game against Liverpool at Anfield.

“He has stepped up and improved a lot in a fantastic way”, Klopp said (via Mirror).

“Really, it’s just very busy”.

“We can not convince them with money, we have to convince them with the football we play, the way we treat them”. It was really cold.

“If I keep doing my job, though, I do think I have got a good chance”.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner is a minor doubt ahead of the visit of Newcastle with a knock sustained in last week’s win over West Ham.
