Klopp not fussed about Sterling meeting

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp revealed that he will make a late decision over whether to start Daniel Sturridge at Manchester City despite the striker’s insistence that he is “fit and ready” to return to action.

Raheem Sterling facing Liverpool for the first time since moving to Manchester City should not be considered as a special occasion, according to Jurgen Klopp.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side have lost once in the league this season – to Manchester United in their August opener – while the Hammers have lost once in their last nine games. I know about the business of course. We have a nice relationship with Barcelona B over team and I think we are going to see if there’s a few other players in Spain that we can bring in.

“His quality is outstanding, but everybody needs training”, Klopp said, via Sky Sports. “He was out for four-and-a-half weeks, I’m not sure if Liverpool had that long break in the summer!”

“But as a striker sometimes five minutes are enough, so we’ll have to see. I will decide tomorrow (Friday)”. Christian Benteke will lead the line for the reds and he will give Manchester City defenders plenty to think about as he is a quality attacker. “You need time to adjust when you come to a new club and a new way of playing football”, Clichy said. “Next week maybe [he will be involved in] parts of team training”, he said.

City are nine points clear of Klopp’s men in the table but Aguero, who is hoping to feature after spending six weeks out with a hamstring injury, rates Liverpool as one of the toughest sides to play in England.

Liverpool drew the first three games of Klopp’s reign before reeling off three successive wins, including an impressive 3-1 victory away to defending champions Chelsea on the last day in October. They need more time to understand why they cancelled the game with Germany. “They will be either guys who are either TAM players or Designated Players and we will have to use TAM as a mechanism to work through our current roster cost structure”. It’s up for grabs this season, there isn’t a real favorite. “He’s a great player though it will be odd to see him wearing another team’s colours”, Aguero said. “I’ve gone into the two previous tournaments feeling very good about things, very confident, but ultimately we’ve not done very well”.
