Klopp rules out Dortmund raid

We’re hardly a week into Jurgen Klopp’s reign as Liverpool manager, yet we think it’s fair to say that people are already running out of “Klopp” puns with which to entertain themselves.

In his first pre-match press conference, Klopp suggested the presence of paparazzi photographers who have been following him around has caused him a few annoyance. “I’m not interested in that. I am told it will cool down soon, but hopefully not because of results”.

Lucas said Klopp’s sessions were intense as he “he likes to put in everything” and believes Klopp’s passion and appetite for hard work has made a good first impression on his Liverpool players. It’s not the time to change things, only in the right way. Happily enough, it appears that one Liverpool fan has tried to give them an appropriate send off – we really, really appreciate this effort.

“I don’t read what you write”.

Before we all start repeating our old ones, the original puns need a last hurrah.

Roberto Firmino, however, might have provided a timely boost as he is making progress following the back injury suffered against Carlisle three weeks ago. After this game we will know more.

“But to get really tuned as a team, that takes time”.

“But he has to be given time because if you look at the players we have…we do not have better players than at Arsenal, Chelsea, Man [Manchester] City and [Manchester] United, so why should we finish higher than them?”
