Liverpool are at West Ham United on Saturday, where Klopp could have been in the opposing dugout had the London club’s owners had their way in the summer.

That said, Liverpool have won eight of their last 12 matches against the Hammers and Klopp already has road wins against Chelsea and Manchester City to his name. “A striker who scored the decisive goal is always a positive thing”, he said.
Dortmund’s head coach Juergen Klopp waves his hat to say farewell to supporters after the German first division Bundesliga soccer match between BvB Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen in Dortmund, Germany, Saturday, May 23, 2015.
The pair traded verbal blows after Klopp took issue with a challenge by Jeremain Lens on Mamadou Sakho, which only warranted a yellow card from referee Kevin Friend, before a police officer told the Liverpool manager to modify his behaviour.
“If you see the situation again then you know that I was not too wrong in judging this moment”.
“It’s a big, big thing in our game protecting our own offensive actions and our counter-pressing, different things that we can do in terms of [having a] good formation for protecting [ourselves]”, said the Reds boss.
The Belgium worldwide took his tally for the season to just seven goals, six of them in the Barclays Premier League, when he secured a 1-0 win at Sunderland after coming off the bench to do the same against then leaders Leicester on Boxing Day.
Liverpool narrowly defeated Sunderland courtesy of Christian Benteke’s second-half goal.
The 25-year-old scored the winning goal against Sunderland in Liverpool’s 1-0 win against the Black Cats, but he was also guilty of missing a one-on-one chance towards the end which caused a minor scare for the Reds.
Having been linked with Liverpool’s next opponents – West Ham – prior to moving to Anfield, Klopp added: “The Hammers”. That’s all I want I say.
“I was sure I needed a few days for myself without thinking too much about football. We don’t live in wonderland and wait for the special moment, we have to work for the special moment and that’s what we did”.
“It’s a really good club but it was the wrong time for all the clubs who were interested”.

“We know the situation but we need to treat it as any other game and try and win and that’s what we will try and do”.
