Klopp, Van Gaal disagree on De Gea
Rooney has now scored in each of his last four games for United, something that he had not achieved since March 2012 before this afternoon.

United beat Liverpool 1-0 on Sunday with a late strike from Wayne Rooney, leading to manager Luis van Gaal to suggest that his side have what it takes to win the league.
United are seven points behind Arsenal and Leicester following their 1-0 victory at Liverpool on Sunday.
Van Gaal therefore believes his side are still in contention to win the league.
But the visitor had David de Gea to thank for fine stops to deny Emre Can and Roberto Firmino, while Jordan Henderson dragged a good chance wide in a drab first half.
“We have a lot of matches still to go”. We started 2015 very good, with a lot of wins and draws – we didn’t lose.
“A striker who scores is always very important and now he is scoring in a row and we are winning”, he said.
Manchester United goalkeeper says he is happy to stay at the club despite interest from Real Madrid.
Rooney reacted quickly to smash home a rebound after team-mate Marouane Fellaini had seen his header from a left-wing cross hit the woodwork.
Wayne Rooney’s goal was enough for the win over United’s old rivals, even while goalkeeper David de Gea was called into action on a number of occasions throughout.
“I don’t think it’s a very worse (bad) injury, but we have to wait and see because I am not a doctor”, said the Dutchman.
“We didn’t keep the ball in the first half so we couldn’t create anything and they created three chances in the first half – that was surviving”.
On the other hand, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was irritated that his team were unable to finish off their chances, while also criticising their lack of awareness in defending set pieces.
“It is frustrating, because there were many things that were good, but our finishing was not good”, he said.
“We have to continue, which is not so easy, but we can do it”. The game was a reflection of the two clubs’ current fortunes; both trying to rediscover their identities under foreign managers and generally struggling for quality, especially in the final third.

Van Gaal admitted that his side were fortunate to still be level after an unconvincing first-half display, but was delighted with how they responded after the interval.
