Steven Gerrard is excited to start working with Jurgen Klopp and admits he has already been made to “feel good” after receiving a hug from the new Liverpool manager. He is closer and that is very, very good, but the most important thing in these [coming] weeks is that he can train without problems.
“If he is feeling good at the moment maybe he will get a few minutes – or more – we will see in the game”.
“It’s not a situation I saw but we trained in two groups, the starting line-up and the other players trained together in shooting”, said Klopp.
“We definitely expect a hard game”, claimed the former Southampton defender.
Liverpool have come from a goal down to defeat Bordeaux 2-1 to ensure their progress to the next phase of the Europa League.
However, Henderson started preliminary training last week, and is confident he is getting close to a comeback for a Liverpool side now just six points off the top four following a stunning 4-1 win at Manchester City on Saturday.
On a more positive note, according to the Liverpool Echo, Jordan Henderson has returned to first-team training following a three-month spell on the sidelines due to a foot injury. “I am not qualified (to say what the extent of the problem is)”. After aiding in the deposition of league leaders City, the Reds will be on a roll going into this European clash.
“I am very happy to have qualified, the team are very happy to have qualified, the club are very happy to be qualified, so you [the press] can be very happy to have qualified!”
The reds have one more game – away against FC Sion – to decide who wins wins and who finishes second in Group B. “We made the second goal, it was a brilliant goal, fine”.

You can really tell that confidence is high with in the Liverpool squad, if their holding midfielder can be that calm in the box then the forwards must be simply purring up front.
