MORE: Get TREBLE the odds on any sports bet. So I thought maybe it made sense to fly home to Liverpool and after eight or ten days, then we will come back and we will see how it is.
“If I spend money, it is because I am trying to build a team, a real team”.
“I am very happy with his attitude and I know he loves this team and this shirt”. (You see) other players coming in and doing well, people are doubting you and saying that we should move him on.
Klopp goes on to suggest that his preference is to recruit players who are not in among the most in-demand in England or Europe.
“I have to build a group here and we’ve got to start new here”.
Georginio Wijnaldum, Sadio Mane, Marko Grujic, Alex Manninger, Lorius Karius, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan have all arrived at Anfield, and Klopp believes his changes have allowed hm to have his mark on the club.
The Reds chief has spent much of the transfer window chasing Leicester’s young defender, but his hopes of snapping up the 19-year-old finally came to an end yesterday when the player signed a new contract with the Foxes.
Klopp has been having double, sometimes triple, sessions in order to ensure his players are in the best shape possible to carry out his high-tempo pressing game.
The former Southampton man was a big money signing, as he cost the club £30 million.
Klopp said Sakho broke rules during the tour. The German said he doesn’t know if he’ll more signings will happen before the transfer window closes. “I don’t think the game was too hard but it was far away from a friendly game”.
“Above all, you can see we have created a special atmosphere, not only in our team but with our fans”.
“If you give one that is 50-50 or 40-60, then you have to give the next one again, and it became a little bit of a farce”. That’s how it is.

Klopp was also quick to add that he has no interest in rivalling other clubs for the big names in the market, preferring to look for potential that can be groomed, rather than fight in “the same pool” as other big clubs.
