Knicks star out for remainder of the season

The Knicks are now 23-32 and 11th in the Eastern Conference and have lost four in a row. The 22-year-old certainly deserved a better ending in what was a truly remarkable breakout year. The win was their sixth in seven games as they continued their push up the standings. Instead of building momentum off a positive individual season, the Knicks will head into another summer nervous about Porzingis’s level of satisfaction. He is 5-33 in these games, and has connected just once on 15 3-point attempts. With that goal no longer attainable, NY has shifted its focus to the 2018 National Basketball Association draft and the future.

It’s back to square one yet again for the Knicks.

Can the Knicks take care of the ball?

This might not be good news for New York Knicks fans.

“Every person’s a little different in how they come back and respond”, Perry said. They have also lost four in a row. Porzingis went up and threw down a huge dunk on Bucks center Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Porzingis has been one of the NBA’s best players this season, earning his first All Star bid this season. He is shooting over 39-percent from three-point range. Over his first 11 games, he averaged 30.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game. The Bucks kicked it up another notch in the third quarter, holding the Knicks to six points in the first six minutes of the half before eventually going up by as much as 21 in the period. Could this injury be an opportunity for Hernangomez to get another tryout and carve out a role after seemingly doing just that last season? The Knicks, according to sources, are more aggressively pursuing young players and draft picks ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline.

Perry said Porzingis will undergo surgery “sooner rather than later” but would not put a timetable on when exactly the operation will occur or how long the recovery process will take.

The Milwaukee Bucks won in NY on Tuesday night, but no one in Madison Square Garden cared all too much.

The worst would be Kristaps Porzingis suffering a major injury that could potentially require surgery and keep him sidelined anywhere from 10 months to a full year
