The main event of UFC 205 in Cleveland saw Ohio’s own UFC Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic defend his heavyweight belt against former K1 Grand Prix victor and #3 heavyweight Alistair Overeem in an instant classic.

Just minutes after being knocked unconscious in the main event against Stipe Miocic, Overeem stood with Rogan for his customary post-fight interview.

Stipe Miocic scored a knockout win over Alistair Overeem to retain the UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 203 on Saturday. That being said, the loss to Rivera was only the second loss of Faber’s career that didn’t have a championship on the line.

As is customary after a major pay-per-view headliner, both the victor and the loser were interviewed in the Octagon by Rogan following Miocic’s first round KO finish over Overeem. ‘I understand why. That guy I fought is one of the best in the world, and it still got him. Still, this is an important fight for the heavyweight division and one Browne can’t afford to lose.

“I’m going to stop Overeem in the first round”, Miocic said.

Miocic and Overeem earned the Fight of the Night bonus.

It could be one of the best heavyweight fights of all time given both possess similar all-round pressure styles.

Stipe is defending his heavyweight title when he takes on Overeem in Cleveland, it will be the first time he has attempted to defend the title since winning it from Fabricio Werdum.

After the fight, Overeem stated that he felt Miocic tap to the choke.

In a bantamweight (135 pounds) bout, Urijah Faber faces Jimmie Rivera, Faber’s first fight since he lost the UFC bantamweight title to Dominick Cruz. “I think No. 3 is OK, it’s a good, too”, Werdum said.

Jessica Andrade will be facing off against Joanne Calderwood in a clash of the strawweights.

The 38-year-old Punk charged Gall but was on his back less than 10 seconds into the fight. “Doesn’t matter how many time you get knocked down, get back up”. This will be a big test for Miocic, because we’ll see how he deals with someone who is even more accurate than himself.

Browne injured his right hand in the first round and was only able to strike Werdum with his left hand for the remainder of the fight.
