Kobe Bryant ‘freaking sucks’ – and he knows it

Randle shined on Sunday night the Mavericks, putting up 22 points and 15 rebounds for his second double-double in three games in what is effectively his rookie season. It could be recalled that Kobe Bryant has been widely known as a powerful shooter – a version of the Los Angeles Lakers player that has yet to be seen this National Basketball Association season. The Los Angeles Lakers coach noted via ESPN, “I said, just stay away from the gym today”, referring to his advice for the Black Mamba to take a day off to regroup. Normally, Bryant drains three-points easily, but this year he is only landing roughly 20 percent of his shots behind the three-point line.

“I just can’t make a shot”, Kobe Bryant said after the Lakers Sunday’s defeat to the Dallas Mavericks, during which he missed 12 of 15 shots from the floor while scoring 15 points. Bryant’s shooting just 32.3 percent from the field and 20.6 percent from beyond the arc. Their expectations were set high with the return of Kobe Bryant, but they have not been victorious. Roy Hibbert, the Lakers center, led the team in assists with four while Clarkson had just three and Russell had just two. “I think if we can get him to 60-something [games], I think that would be great”, Scott said.

“I freaking suck”, Bryant said through a clenched jaw beneath his trademark furled, focused brow.

Perhaps, the Lakers star is also feeling the pressure since his team has started with a 0-3 record for consecutive seasons.

“I don’t know. I know he’s not happy with it. He’s disappointed with the way he’s shooting the ball”.

“Got a lot of feedback”, Scott said. Kobe’s three pointers this year have been mediocre and the shooting guard definitely needs to improve his mid range shooting if he wants to persist with shooting for the three pointers. “Remember, you know, Kobe gets in this thing where he doesn’t pass and then he overpasses and he’s trying to get triple-doubles every night”.

“I thought yesterday, he did a much better job of getting to the basket”, Scott said about Bryant after Monday’s practice. I thought this team could win 31-32 games, but right now that looks optimistic. Added Scott: “He’s frustrated….”
