LOS ANGELES_Faced with back-to-back games this weekend and an eight-game trip starting next week, Los Angeles Lakers Coach Byron Scott has been mulling how much Kobe Bryant should play during the grueling stretch.
Yeah, that’s probably not going to happen, even if Bryant is playing in his 20th season in the league.
Over the last few days, we’ve written in more detail about Kobe Bryant’s shooting troubles.
“We both have a creative style, where it’s just about a feel when you’re out on the pitch or the court”, Curry said. I could be out there averaging 35 points a game.
Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton had expressed concern after the Warriors reached 16 wins on Tuesday with a victory against the Lakers that with their place in the record books, the players might have a different intensity level and see their level of play go down.
“We talk about 33”, reigning league MVP Curry told the San Jose Mercury News. “Do they think I’m happy?”
Scott said Bryant has been able to get enough rest.
Against the Warriors, Bryant shot 1-of-14 from the field and scored four points.
“I want to give these guys an opportunity to play with each other, so they can continue to learn and grow with each other”, he said. Lakers fans wanted to see Russell in fourth quarters so that he can learn what it is like to play in crunch time since they had nothing else to lose but at the beginning of the year Scott was not obliging. You got Magic, James and Kareem as post-up players who demanded double-teams. In 11 games this season, the Lakers legend is averaging 15.2 points (the second lowest average of his career after his rookie season), 3.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game on a depressing 31% shooting percentage (and an even more mindbogglingly bad 19.5% from three).

“I’m letting him try to find it for himself”. Lakers looked lost on both ends of the floor, Kobe had a quote after last night’s game that summed up the season so far “Coming down offensively & Not having a concept of what we’re trying to do”. “In all honesty, it’s tough when the shots that I take, the pull-up shots, jumpers and contested jumpers, were tough shots to hit at 27”.
