Lakers coach Byron Scott is now saying that Bryant told him that he was the “first to know” straight up about the five-time champ’s decision to be done after this season, according to a report by ESPN’s Baxter Holmes.

Lakers coach Byron Scott found out a different way – Bryant told him during the Lakers’ matchup with the Trail Blazers last Saturday. I’ve got to cut them down.’ He said, ‘That’s good, coach.
As with most of my sports complaints, I blame the New York Yankees.
“My body knows it’s time to say goodbye”, he said.
Scott did not need a hearing aid.
Bryant said that he didn’t want a farewell tour, but apparently he’s getting one. However, a bite to the face or torso can bring death from paralysis within 20 minutes.’ Now, you should listen to this, ’cause this concerns you. “I’m not playing next year anyway'”. “Every now and then, I’d lose my train of thought because I was thinking about what he just told me”. Bryant delivered it at a moment Scott was least suspecting it, in such a nonchalant manner which caught him completely off-guard.
“I didn’t feel as lively as I did in the last game”, he said after scoring 14 points and blaming his increasingly uncooperative legs.
Would Bryant ever coach or become a general manager?
Bryant struggled much of the night to get separation on the perimeter, but his pull-up jumper in the lane over Sefolosha cut the lead to 87-83 with 4:46 to go.
Would Bryant follow the footsteps of Magic Johnson, who’s part of the Dodgers’ ownership group? The Sixers one made sense because Kobe was born in Philadelphia but the Hawks’ snake naming means that we’re probably in store for a Jeter-like retirement parade this season. “I can’t go around talking and smiling at people all day”.
“I think to be able to have a chance to continue the relationship that I already have with most of those guys, talking and just kind of being around each other and understanding that this is it, it’s just us being together, that would be fun”.

“It’s just been two games”, Scott said. “Everybody’s acting like he’s been out for the last month”. The team allowed 48% three-point shooting from the opposition while committing 17 turnovers (against 24 assists), and no single player exploded for a dominant night.
