Kobe Sits, Lakers Scorched in Miami
Los Angeles Lakers forward Kobe Bryant (24) points his finger in the air after the Lakers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 104-98 in an NBA basketball game Friday, November 6, 2015, in NY.

With every passing game, it begins to look more and more like this will be Bryant’s last season.
Should he be picked for the Summer Games in Brazil, Bryant – along with other veterans like LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony – will have the opportunity in becoming the first Team United States of America players to win an Olympic basketball gold thrice. Los Angeles Lakers’ head coach Byron Scott revealed to the media that his All-star player has hinted his retirement plans, Sports Illustrated wrote.
Or… he could’ve just been saying “eff that eye” because he didn’t care and it’s a hilarious thing to say.
“It’s wear and tear”, he said. “I hurt the back a little bit during training camp….”
But just how bad is a 12.7 PER?
Kobe Bryant is the greatest player of our era… Starting center Nik Vucevic has missed three consecutive games because of a bone bruise in his right knee, and reserve big man Jason Smith sat out the loss to the Pacers because of a sore left knee.
Vucevic, averaging 15.8 points and 8.0 rebounds, didn’t practice Tuesday and Orlando is waiting to see how he responds to treatment.
Nick Young scored 17 points off the bench, hitting his first 5 shots from beyond the arc.
Evan Fournier is also capable of picking up the slack in Vucevic’s absence, though much of his work comes from beyond the 3-point line.
Westbrook, the league leader in assists, has 10 or more dimes in five of his first seven games.
“We need to pick it up”, said Harris.
Bryant has been finding it hard to pick his shots, and he’s connecting on a career-low shooting average of 32-percent for the 1-5 Lakers, according to Bleacher Report.
“(Finishing) is something that we’re really struggling with and it’s cost us”, coach Scott Skiles told the team’s official website. “A physical, gritty, tough defensive minded team and to be able to wear on them in the second half with a few real spirited passionate defensive possessions is what we’re trying to get to”.

There are plenty of headaches for the Lakers who are just two games into a long road trip.
