Koeman wants to play special part
Everybody at Everton is ready to take that next step towards success and Koeman said he is “one of them”.

He will be given access to the biggest transfer kitty of any Everton manager but Kenwright insists that discussions with Koeman did not revolve around what he would be given to spend.
Now, with Koeman revealed as the man to lead the blues into the new season, attention has predictably shifted to Koeman’s former club Southampton with numerous Saints’ players being linked a move to Everton, and with Koeman refusing to rule out a raid on his previous employers in a recent press conference, that speculation has only intensified.
The Pelle link is weird given he fell out of favour with Koeman in the second half of last season, with the Barcelona icon lambasting his Italian front-man’s poor attitude in training. “But the most important thing is look forward not back in life or football”.
Martinez promised to deliver Champions League football when he was appointed to replace David Moyes in the summer of 2013 but he never delivered on that promise.
“It’s a big history and it’s nice to be part of that, to win and play European cup football and win titles”, he said.
“I like him as a player because he is good with his left foot, right foot and has a good view of the pitch”. I said I can’t do that. I said it was not a problem because I signed three times a one-year contract with Feyenoord in Holland.
“Everyone in the club is hungry to come back and put Everton in the place where Everton needs to stay”.
Now the Goodison Park club only has one senior goalkeeper and Koeman was reported as saying: “If you look at the squad you see one goalkeeper”.
“First of all we like to keep all these kind of key players, because you don’t sell your best players, but that’s about meetings I will have with these kind of players, then we will see what happens”.

“If we agree we need better players or some players in different positions, then we will work on that, but that is always after we know what we have in the Everton squad”.
