Superstar Rajinikanth has donated Rs. 10 Lakh, Surya and his brother Karthi have contributed Rs. 25 Lakh and Rajini’s son-in-law actor Dhanush has donated Rs. 5 lakhs to the relief fund. Vishal has contributed Rs. 10 lakhs.

Chennai: Moved by the severe hardships and trouble faced by the people of the Chennai, well-wishers and conscientious individuals are doing their bit to help the state government deal with the situation there. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said it would not be appropriate for the film industry to hold such celebrations when Chennai was in trouble. Later, actor NTR Jr, who’s shooting in Spain for Nannaku Prematho, also announced a donation of Rs 10 lakh, while his brother Kalyan Ram donated Rs 5 Lakh.
