In July, Trump went as far as saying he hoped Russian Federation had hacked Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s private email servers, which she used while serving as secretary of state.

Jason Miller, senior communications advisor to Trump, responded in a statement saying Clinton “failed the commander-in-chief test” at the NBC forum “where she was unable to answer for her awful foreign policy judgment”.
