Kremlin says allegations it hacked US Democratic Party ‘made-up horror stories’

First came the hack, then the leak.

Later, just hours before Obama was to address the Democratic convention, Trump bashed him as “the most ignorant president in our history”, and added that “I believe that Hillary Clinton will be even worse”.

During an earlier event in Roanoke, Virginia, Trump labeled Clinton “low-energy”, the same characterization he lobbed at Republican rival Jeb Bush; attacked her running mate, U.S. Sen.

Sanders supporters certainly weren’t amused. Irate, in fact, that the emails confirmed their long-held suspicions the party had favored Clinton all along.

Kurtz says it can sometimes make sense to publicly identify the culprit of major hacks.

Democrats have been alleging that Putin is seeking to alter the White House race after WikiLeaks released damaging emails from the organization’s staff following the hack.

The Republican presidential nominee, holding a Wednesday press conference, said that the 30,000 missing emails from Clinton’s private email server would reveal “some beauties” and made an extraordinary plea for a foreign power to locate them.

The White House has maintained caution since the DNC emails were posted by Wikileaks on Friday, with spokesman Eric Schultz telling reporters that he did not have a “significant update” on who was behind the hack.

It wasn’t immediately clear how WikiLeaks got the emails – and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange proudly told Democracy Now! he’d never tell.

Was it from the Russians?

“At the moment, I think the state is going to get a lot of attention and be a player”, Trump said.

One of the few changes in the GOP platform pushed by the Trump campaign was the weakening of language calling for support for Ukraine’s current democratic government, which replaced the man Manafort represented – and which Putin is attempting to destroy.

It has been widely reported that Trump has not been shy of praising Putin and has called him a “strong leader”.

Whatever the source, the fallout from the leaked emails was swift and dramatic. The report said that now Russian Federation did not appear intent on carrying this out but it was able to “artificially generate any pretext that suits its propaganda narrative” quickly and deploy forces.

“Trump floated a new conspiracy theory literally each week during the primary to jam up his opponents and keep them on the defense-and it worked”, said Ryan Williams, a Republican strategist.

“What I do know is that Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed admiration for Vladimir Putin”, he said.

“In order to try and deflect the horror and stupidity of the Wikileakes disaster, the Dems said maybe it is Russian Federation dealing with Trump”.

Vladimir Putin described Trump as “colorful and talented”, and there is increasing evidence that Russian Federation wants Trump to win the election.

As of now, many lead figures in Trump’s campaign have previous ties to Russian Federation. It accuses the Kremlin of eroding the “personal liberty and fundamental rights” of the Russian people.
