“I think he’s a bit frustrated from how it went down, which is understandable”, Truex said Friday at Las Vegas. I don’t know where that number comes from either. The bumper crop of impressive lap times could lead to a speedy race Sunday – or the expected high winds could create caution and uncertainty.

Just about anything that appears in a NASCAR box-score can be wagered on. We’re not going to try to do something before we’re ready. Before the Atlanta race, all Richard Childress Racing cars were found to have improper body attachments, which were replaced before race time and confiscated by NASCAR. We saw two races last season with it at Kentucky and Darlington and Joe Gibbs Racing had a huge edge over everyone while winning both. He has a strong team, he does well in practice so far.

McGloin made $585,000 last season and if he plays under the second-round one-year tender, he will make $2.553 million as a backup for Derek Carr. For starters, No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing driver Danica Patrick is serious about taking a lot of shoes with her. After all, 17 days is a long time to be stuck with only a few pairs of shoes. It’s hard to do it at Atlanta where tires fall off so bad. Past year he finished 2nd. But he remains resolute that this is his final year as a Sprint Cup driver.

While the most important equation into picking the victor this week is the low downforce package, we also can’t ignore history.

Drivers had mostly positive reviews for the reduced-downforce package used last weekend at Atlanta.

On Sunday, NASCAR confiscated the braces from the right-rear corner of all three primary RCR entries, including the No. 3 of Austin Dillon, the No. 27 of Paul Menard and the No. 31 of Ryan Newman.

The track itself is just another one of NASCAR’s many 1.5-mile stops and it’s also one of the newest tracks in the circuit, as the first Cup Series race held there was in 1998.

The brothers are natives of Las Vegas.

NASCAR fined and suspended Martin Truex Jr.’s Furniture Row Racing team’s crew chief and subtracted 15 championship points from the driver’s season total for a rules violation that took place during last week’s race weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. A week later he would win his first Cup race in Atlanta in only his third career start.

“It’s going to be neat to have that pit stall at the end and just kind of roll off the jack and hopefully beat everybody off pit road if they have done a better job through the race to get ahead of us”, Busch said.

“I went over the lip of a dune and went down 20-25 feet and landed like a lawn dart and broke my back”. These would be non-live broadcast rights for highlights and other digital content, including licensing to fantasy games for use of driver and team images.
