Kushner’s White House security clearance now downgraded

Now I know we have covered in depth the scandals going on between the two, between Ivanka and Jared.

Top White House aides had planned to roll out Trump’s guns and school safety proposals by the end of the week, but Wednesday’s hourlong meeting – where the President endorsed taking guns away from mentally ill Americans before a judge had a chance to weigh in and backed passing a comprehensive gun control package – set those plans back, multiple sources told CNN.

The probe is part of Mueller’s larger investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 USA election and possible coordination between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russian officials.

Per the AP, “He blames them for changing Trump’s mind at the last minute and questions what exactly they do all day, according to one White House official and an outside ally”.

The White House hoped to spend the week talking about guns and opioids before President Trump departed for Billy Graham’s funeral this week.

Apollo said the company founder who met with Jared Kushner did not discuss with him “a loan, investment, or any other business arrangement or regulatory matter involving Apollo”. On Friday he doubled down on his decision via a tweet saying “trade wars are good and easy to win”.

The internal blow-back was swift, with renewed rumors that top economic adviser Gary Cohn – who had been infuriated by Trump’s unwillingness to condemn neo-Nazis – was ready to walk. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders denied the report.

White House staff chaos is letting Trump be Trump.

Trump’s motivation on guns stems from the February 14 mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school. “You’d expect this policy from a leftist administration, not a supposedly Republican one”, said Nebraskan Republican senator Ben Sasse. “We have the Second Amendment and due process of law for a reason”. Congress would talk impeachment.

A trifecta of events had set him off in a way that two officials said they had not seen before: Hope Hicks’ testimony to lawmakers investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, conduct by his embattled attorney general and the treatment of his son-in-law by his chief of staff.

“Conceptually, he still supports raising the age to 21”, said Sarah Sanders, pedaling back hard on universal background checks. “We have pusher and drug dealers, they are killing hundreds and hundreds of people”, he said.

Kelly said in a statement last month that he has “full confidence” in Kushner to do his job.

Earlier this week, we learned that Jared Kushner’s family business received half a billion dollars in loans from a pair of financial institutions following meetings between senior executives and the First Son-in-Law in the White House.

“If you are not anxious, you should be”.

But Kushner, who rarely makes public statements, has become the story in recent weeks after Chief of Staff John Kelly limited his access to highly sensitive material due to his interim security clearance. It may be normal for the Trumps, and others who believe they play by their own rules, but it is not for those who believe a White House job entails at least a modicum of civic mindedness.
