La Marque teen missing after mom found dead has been found safe

La Marque police say a 15-year-old boy is charged with first degree murder after his mom’s death over the weekend.

Her son was missing but later found unharmed, and he has since been charged in Moseley’s murder.

Police located the teenager and the auto Sunday night in Houston.

KPRC-TV reported that a neighbor found Nita Moseley, 33, dead Saturday morning in her home in the 2800 block of Fannin in La Marque. Austin said he grew concerned when he noticed her front door ajar on Saturday. Police say he has been cooperating with their investigation, and they believe he acted alone. “Her body was on the kitchen floor in a pool of blood”. Police also say a 2014 Nissan Maxima was missing from the home.

Detectives have not yet released the cause of death. “Her son was a good student”.

Police haven’t said how the woman died or how far along she was with her pregnancy.

Police say 33-year-old Nita Moseley
