Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, James Ocholi, he died in a road accident along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday.

“The rear tyre burst and the vehicle summersaulted several times into the bush”, Udoma said.
Ocholi died while travelling along Abuja – Kaduna road along with two other passengers. His driver and wife, Blessing Fatima Ocholi, reportedly survived the crash, but are said to be in critical condition in a clinic. He was appointed minister in 2015.
Ocholi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), also lost his son in the incident which has generated a lot of reactions from colleagues and close business associates.
Narrating how the incident occurred, the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, Zubairu Abubakar, told our correspondent that the accident occurred while the family were returning from a private visit in Kaduna at Rijiana village along the expressway on Sunday afternoon. “May their souls rest in ideal peace, Amen”, the governor wrote.

The APC National Secretary said the late Ocholi who was the party’s former Deputy National Legal Adviser will be remembered for his selfless service to the country as minister, party, legal profession and his home state, Kogi.
