Socialite Lady C, 66, had been the most talked about celebrity of the series as she divided the opinion of the whole nation.
As a result of her departure, the latest viewer vote has been cancelled.
However, Tony’s wife has insisted she’s “proud” of the way he handled the situation and thinks viewers will see the remaining celebrities enjoy themselves much more now that Lady C has gone.
Previous owner Clement Somerset refused to comment about the sale at the time, but spoke to The Argus yesterday and said: “It’s been in our family for 200 years, so we were caretakers of it I suppose for that time and now Lady Campbell is the occupier”.
On another occasion she fell out with former Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne over emu poo.

And just when we thought she couldn’t shock us anymore, she dropped another bombshell in last night’s episode when she opened up to her pal Kieron Dyer about her crush on footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking to This Morning, he said: “She’s not going to walk out, she’s not the losing type”.
‘She’s a mother figure, ‘ he said. She could have come to me for free; left, right, left, right, left, right repeat.
“She says the pair of them ganged up on her and tried their level best to force her out of the show”.
‘We could cope with her being demanding, ‘ Yvette explained.
However Lady C also had praise for some of the other celebrity campers.
