On Friday, Gaga confirmed the dream will become a reality when she appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show to drop her new single “Perfect Illusion”.
Earlier tonight, however, Gaga finally released the full “Perfect Illusion” track via a tweet that wouldn’t be out of place in a promo for the upcoming season of American Horror Story.
Lady Gaga (L) and Stevie Wonder perform during a celebration of music legend Tony Bennett’s 90th birthday at The Rainbow Room on August 3. “We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it”. Time will tell, I suppose.
Made with Mark Ronson, Justin Bieber producer BloodPop and Tame Impala singer Kevin Parker, the song marks a return to glory for the star, but also has some bittersweet elements to it. The song was officially released the following day. But it seems she may be teasing the release of the new video. just a bit. “How do we look through these images that we know are filtered and altered, and decipher what is reality and what is a ideal illusion?” she said.
Little Monsters, the moment has arrived!
It will be interesting to see what new perspectives Gaga brings to her latest project.
Now you know everything there is to know. Coincidence? We think yes. “Stuck in the middle zone, I just want you alone”, the 30-year-old begins the dance-rock tune.
She later added that thanks in part to her role in AHS, she’s found true happiness. The singer shared that she actually typed the lyrics up on a typewriter.
