Lady Gaga’s otherworldly, futuristic tribute to the late music legend was as eclectic as David Bowie and an all-round hit at the Grammys.

Lady Gaga and Intel have been accused of exploiting the Grammys David Bowie tribute to make money as his son Duncan Jones also joined in the criticism.
Bennett said McGuire called her shortly after the performance to see how it had looked on television. AFP PHOTO/ Valerie MACON / AFP / VALERIE MACONVALERIE MACON/AFP/Getty Images Lady Gaga performs a tribute to David Bowie at the 58th annual Grammy Awards on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, in Los Angeles.
I guess what I’m really saying is that I would have rather had the entire Grammy time slot be dedicated to Gaga covering Bowie songs in their full glory.
Opening with “Space Oddity”, featuring a close-up of Gaga’s face overlaid with a projected thunder bolt and colours akin to Bowie, she moved to a piano featuring hydraulics before performing full choreography to songs like “Fashion”, “Let’s Dance” and “Rebel Rebel”.
However, Natalie Cole’s sister was furious that her sibling did not get a special musical tribute.
In the performance, the singer went through ten of the rock icon’s tracks and used Intel-designed visual effects. The 29-year-old singer was accompanied by Nile Rodgers on guitar and Raphael Saadiq on bass and a slew of backup dancers. I started to live my life like him. “Amazing! Bowie is smiling combing his hair back right now I know”, Janelle Monae Cindi added.
Duncan Jones tweeted a sly jab at Gaga’s performance.

The music industry’s biggest night took place barely a month after the shocking death of Bowie, who over his half-century career became one of the most influential figures in pop culture. “And I think what’s so exciting about this collaboration is I get to shine a light on all of these scientists that are artists in my opinion”.
