Lady Gaga is hoping her split from fiance Taylor Kinney is temporary, telling fans in an emotional Instagram post that she believes they are “soul mates”. “Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break”, Gaga wrote on Instagram along with a photograph of her and Kinney.

We mean, we really doubt this is the end for the NY native and her beau. “We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other”, the caption reads.
An industry source previously told PEOPLE that the couple’s work obligations “kept them apart a lot”.
The insider added, “I know he was always in Chicago and she went there all the time, but really had to be in L.A. or on tour and it was hard for them to make their schedules work”.
However, she says their ambition, long distance and complicated schedules have put a strain on their relationship.
Kinney proposed to Gaga, an Italian American whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, over a Valentine’s Day dinner a year ago at a NY restaurant owned by her family.
Gaga and Kinney, 35, started dating in 2011 when they met at Gaga’s “Yoü and I” music video shoot.
The 30-year-old singer was behind the wheel of a white Rolls-Royce as she drove around in Malibu, California. Taylor proposed on Valentine’s Day past year at the singer’s family-owned Manhattan restaurant Joanne’s Trattoria.
Personally, I’m too much of an overthinker and frankly not built on the faith required to basically allow fate to just do its thing – especially after I’ve already pegged someone my soulmate. Not only that, her and Taylor have not been spotted out and about for weeks, either.

But anonymous sources reported they broke up in early July, and the two have not been seen together publicly at events in some time.
