Lady Gaga communicates in song

In what is being billed as Gaga’s first completely unretouched shoot, Gaga covers Carine Roitfeld’s CR Fashion book.

Bruce Weber snapped the striking shots of the pop culture chameleon.

The “Alejandro” hitmaker admits she finds it hard to express her feelings, so often composes music so that Taylor Kinney can understand her point of view. And yet she is classically trained, as well. “I was always anti-trend”.

Style.com secured the exclusive photos, and they mention a lengthy interview which is forthcoming.

“As a 29-year-old girl, at this stage in my pop career everybody goes, ‘Oh she’s getting old, ‘ and everybody’s so anxious about having a flawless body, a ideal face, and ideal hair”. She adds, “It is the same idea about freedom”.

She truly is one of a kind, especially when it comes to her feelings, admitting to CR, “I’m much better at communicating through my work”. “Roitfeld says she chose Upton to “[represent] different types of beauty and the sexual fantasies of all men”.

In other Gaga news, today, August 19, marks not only the seven-year (!!!) anniversary of the release of her debut album, The Fame, but also the two-year anniversary of the release of her memorable “Applause” video. After appearing in the CR Fashion Book issue, the American model was flooded with assignments from high-end fashion magazines including Vogue, Elle and Vanity Fair. And that, as an artist, you love your art ’til death.
