Lady Gaga in talks for Super Bowl halftime show
Lady Gaga is inching closer to one of the biggest gigs on the planet: performing at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2017.

According to sources for Billboard, the singer is now in talks to perform during the Super Bowl LI halftime show in Houston, Texas on February 5, 2017.
“Gaga is coming off of several high-profile appearances in recent years, including a 2015 performance at the Academy Awards which was followed by an Oscar nomination the next year for “‘Til It Happens to You” for best original song (written for the documentary The Hunting Ground).
The Gaga choice would be a controversial one for National Football League bosses, who have tried to play it safe for over a decade after Janet Jackson exposed a breast during her headlining spot with Justin Timberlake back in 2004. “However, at this point we do not have a final decision”. Gaga may be polarizing, but she feels flawless for this gig given that she’s a born entertainer, she creates visual spectacles, and will probably find ways to get people talking. Presumably, she is also going to have a role on the upcoming sixth season of “American Horror Story”, even if for now specifics on the role are shrouded in mystery. On Sept. 9, Gaga released the album’s first single, “Perfect Illusion”.

Whether Lady Gaga performs at the halftime show or not, she’s set for a huge next couple of months.
