Gaga’s brand new single made its live debut when the pop star took the stage after her friend and producer Mark Ronson warmed up the crowd with a almost 2-hour DJ set, according to The Telegraph.

She also dropped the news that she managed a collaboration with Florence Welch on her album. Mother Monster said she thought about who she wanted to sing with and that Welch is “if not the best, one of the greatest vocalists in the world”. How do we navigate through these images that we know are filtered and altered and decipher what is reality and what is a flawless illusion?

Lady Gaga previously described the song as “modern ecstasy”, and we can certainly see why.

It seems that no expense has been spared on creating “Perfect Illusion”.

On a side note: Lady Gaga wrote this track on a typewriter, so there’s that.

Let’s all hope that this album will spark Gaga back into the music game. And, this morning, the news of a joint venture between Lady Gaga and Florence Welch has got the internet buzzing. Her 2013 conceptual album, Artpop, didn’t really resonate and it’s been a while since we’ve heard the typical Gaga sound. Producer Mark Ronson told Charlie Rose earlier this year that the record would feature a more “analog” approach than previous albums. I’m really just a human being that makes this. stuff. “This song is about raging against that and letting it go”. But, with that said, Gaga can have the tendency at times to do things differently and also play it safe – that’s ultimately what she does with “Perfect Illusion“.
