Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show reminded America she’s a star
In the lead up to the Super Bowl, Lady Gaga had been teasing that she wanted to start her halftime show by jumping off the roof of NRG Stadium.

After singing these covers she literally lept off the roof to the stage, looking like a flying squirrel as she shimmied on the wire that safely lowered her down. She closed out the song by walking into a crowd of fans, touching their hands as she passed them.
“I’m not gonna tell you what I’m gonna do”, she told the press.
This year, Lady Gaga will take the stage at the center of NRG Stadium in Houston during the mid-game intermission. “For me, it’s all about giving to the fans and bringing people together that wouldn’t normally come together”.
With the United States on the edge politically, many speculated about whether the outspoken singer would use her spotlight to address women’s rights, immigration or President Donald Trump. Saying anything divisive would only make things worse. She then calmed the mood with her latest hit, “Million Reasons” while playing piano and having the audience around her hold up lights. For someone who, in large part, built her career on shock value, that may have been the most shocking move she could’ve made. I don’t want to give away any songs I’m singing.
In addition to Lady Gaga, three original cast members of the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit “Hamilton” will sing “America the Beautiful” during pregame festivities and Luke Bryan will perform the national anthem.
Gaga continued through “Born This Way”, “Telephone” and “Just Dance” while going through numerous costume changes, and at one point donned a keytar. “I mentioned that I thought it was important for us to consider, you know, high adrenaline”. “You wanna feel good with us?”

The NFL said after Gaga’s performance that there were 41,000 tweets per minute posted to Twitter with the word “Gaga” in it.
