Rumours began circulating that the pair had split after Lady Gaga – real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – was spotted without her engagement ring, and the singer has since taken to her social media account to release her own emotional statement.

Kinney proposed to Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, over a Valentine’s Day dinner past year at a NY restaurant owned by her family.
“Taylor [Kinney] and I have always believed we are soulmates”, Lady Gaga, 30, wrote on Instagram.
“Please root us on”, she asks.
She said: “We don’t have any rules about calling each other at certain times”.
Her message was shared with a black and white photo of her and Taylor with their arms around each other.
The singer said she hopes her fans are rooting for them because they’re still very much in love.
But with Gaga constantly traveling because of her work while Kinney’s almost stuck filming for his television commitments, did their attitude towards their career and romance backfire and cause their fallout?
Gaga was recently snapped in Cabo, Mexico without her engagement ring on, further fuelling rumours that the pair are no longer together.

Following this year’s Oscars ceremony – at which Gaga gave a chilling performance of her song ‘Til It Happens to You from campus sexual assault documentary The Hunting Ground – Gaga shared a picture of the couple kissing backstage.
An insider also confirmed to entertainment news site People that Gaga and Kinney’s long-distance relationship challenged them, but the star-studded couple is not throwing their relationship on the rocks.

A source told U.S. magazine that the pop-star was extremely “crushed” about the break-up.
