Lady Gaga surprised singer Tony Bennett with a special serenade and a massive cake to honor him on his 89th birthday.
The 29-year-old singer-songwriter sang Duke Ellington’s “I’m Beginning To See The Light” to Bennett and led the crowd at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.in singing “Happy Birthday” to the jazz singer, according to People.
Days after playing the last show on her and Bennett’s “Cheek to Cheek” tour, the Mother Monster shared on Instagram a photo of herself along with the caption, ‘LG5 time.’.

It was a multi-tiered cake, which was a recreation of the cake originally created for President John F Kennedy’s birthday at which Marilyn Monroe famously sang “Happy Birthday Mr President”. Alongside the image, she wrote: ‘When the Birthday cake you got Tony is too huge for Instagram!’Posting another shot, the rock star referred to her pooch Miss Asia & Tony’s canine Glad in a close-up image of the cake collectible figurines. “Lady is a great person and a great performer”. After ARTPOP and Cheek to Cheek, Gaga’s next will be her fifth album. Gaga has already given her social media followers a small look into her part in the series, posting her script that was covered in blood.
