Original Destiny’s Child band member LeToya Luckett will be taking on the role of Dionne.
Lady Gaga has big shoes to fill.
Danny Glover has been cast as Dionne’s father while Olympia Dukakis will play her mentor Marlene Dietrich.
United States singer Warwick, who is known for hits including I Say A Little Prayer and That’s What Friends Are For, appeared at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday to announce the project, which is based on her memoir My Life As I See It. In addition to playing Warwick, Luckett will also perform her songs for the film’s soundtrack.
