Lake Area Could See Thunderstorms Through Friday
On Wednesday evening there is a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m.

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight.
The high on Tuesday was 88. “We’re looking for a high (temperature) around 90 today”. The low for Wednesday night is around 51.
In a mid-afternoon update, the weather service says isolated thunderstorms ahead of an approaching cold front will be capable of producing strong to damaging winds late this afternoon into early this evening. “Temperatures will be a high afternoon of 89 and low Thursday morning will be 76”. Northeast wind around 5 miles per hour. Highs near 80 on Thursday and Friday with more storms scattered around on Friday before the weather quiets down for the weekend.
Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high at 81. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Tonight: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10pm.
It’s a warm, mostly sunny Wednesday for Long Island, the National Weather Service said.
