The NBA’s version of speed dating started at a frenetic pace.

Despite the insanity of that deal and some others, not all logic has been thrown out of the window in the 2016 National Basketball Association free agency period yet.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, they were stood up before any first dates.

The Lakers already know they won’t land the biggest prize in the market after Kevin Durant declined to meet with them.

However, it’s unclear if the Lakers have interest in Turner.

On the first day of free agency a lot has been going on around the league, with major players announcing deals nearly right away with their new home. Now, compare this to Jokic, who last season averaged 10.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game. Los Angeles assistant coach Brian Shaw coached Mozgov with the Denver Nuggets.

Big men Al Horford and Hassan Whiteside both intrigue the Lakers, as does forward Nicolas Batum. Whiteside had narrowed his choices down between Miami and Dallas, according to The Vertical.

Lakers to match max sheets? An unheralded second-round pick in 2014 by the Wizards, Clarkson was traded to the Lakers on draft night in exchange for cash considerations.

That would be $64 million over four years.

Timofey Mozgov has officially signed a deal with the LA Lakers, and he will now be in the historical Purple and Gold next season.

Mozgov’s role this past season was reduced and he averaged just 1.2 points in 5.8 minutes during the postseason, including a combined 25 minutes in the Cavs’ seven-game NBA Finals win over the Warriors.

Those warning shots come as Jim Buss supposedly enters his last season before a self-imposed deadline to turn the Lakers into contenders, otherwise he will have to hand over the personnel reins to sister Jeanie Buss.
